It is no fun being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, but it was worth it to get such a good report from an ER doctor after 6 hours of tests that determined that I had a simple but extremely painful exercise injury. This injury is common in athletes, but it often brings them to their knees, requiring a stretcher to get them off the field.
There is no scarcity of exercise methods, programs videos, venues, recreational vehicles for fitness. Why then do too few people exercise adequately? Maybe because they don’t know the science behind what happens in and to your body when you do exercise and when you don’t exercise.
