I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving day. But wasn’t it an unusual one? Did you, like me, feel a heaviness along with the thankfulness? I just know you were especially aware of the hurt, loss, and isolation that 2020 has brought. It is a year most of us did not expect in our lifetime and yet here we are.

I’ll say this for 2020: it has brought me is a deeper appreciation of the people in my life. Right now I value being with friends and loved ones more than ever. For that, I am truly thankful.

This underlines a huge opportunity for each of us. Don’t miss it!

You can change your day today and the life of someone else. It is very simple to do. You have everything you need.

This is it: Express Some Gratitude Today.

How do you do this? It should take no more than 5 minutes.

  1. Identify a person in your life. Think of something about them that you are grateful for.
  2. Write a short note: “Hey _____, I was just thinking about you. I hope this is a great day. Please know how much I appreciate(d) _________________”
  3. Do it before you talk yourself out of it.

This will make a big difference for someone in your world. And it will make a real difference in your day and life. If this sounds simplistic to you, you are right. It IS simple. But it is profoundly rewarding – for both of you!

Make it a habit and do it regularly. Don’t wait for 2021.
